For those playing from over the sea, here's your chance to put some faces to the names I'm always mentioning in here. :)

I stole Adders' mask. EAT MORE LAMB, BITCHES!

From left: Jacky, me, Hammond ([livejournal.com profile] hammond) and Kelly ([livejournal.com profile] kellycurious) cramming ourselves into the booth at the Warhol Exhibition.

We're in a tree! Taken somewhere in the bowels of the Cultural Centre / Museum.

Hammond had the best Warhol pic. Note the Interrobang pendant!

I've been Warholed.

Room of floating silver pillows at the Warhol exhibit.

Hammond gets his tatt out at the AFK Cafe.

Housemate Kim ([livejournal.com profile] jkarabella) gets his grouch out at work.

Housemate Kelly ([livejournal.com profile] kellycurious) gets her glee out on Monopoly Night.

Brother and housemate Chris ([livejournal.com profile] noddy0505) gets his... fan out?

Hammond and Adders ([livejournal.com profile] radam) concoct fake snow in the kitchen on Monopoly Night.

My kitties! From top to bottom: Sawyer, Jangles and Nami. It's one big love-fest.

"Pancakes AND bacon?!" All of Hammond's dreams come true.

So the Andy Warhol exhibit was a blast: I went there straight from work that morning with Kelly, Jacky and Hammond. We had breakfast at a Southbank cafe with Italian Hot Cioc (basically hot chocolate that's so thick it's like liquid pudding) and we had more fun than should be allowed in an art gallery. I think the pics express it all. Jamming the four of us into a booth barely capable of fitting two was an adventure. We had a blast in a giant room full of floating silver pillows (still waiting on a pic that Kelly secretly snapped of me in there and currently has on her phone; the room was a no-photo zone). The exhibit itself was amazing. We all particularly loved the short films. Making eye contact with someone for that long, even if it's just footage of someone, is an intense experience.

I was utterly trashed afterwards, as I only slept for two and a half hours the day before, so by the time we got home from Warhol... well, I did the math and realised I'd been awake for 27 hours straight, and looking at the bigger picture, I'd had about two and a half hours sleep within the last 40 hours. Ouch!

So I collapsed into bed, then woke a few hours later in a panic, thinking I might have slept away a day and night and missed my shift. I staggered into the hall, almost collided with Kim, grabbed him and slurred, "WHAT DAY IS IT??"

"Thursday," he said. "And that's the best thing anyone has ever asked me after a night shift."

For some stupid reason I didn't immediately go back to bed, but went to check my email. I have never felt more head-sick in my life; it felt like my brain was DYING. I'm sure there was a soft, constant screaming tone in my ears. I realised that more sleep would be wise, collapsed again and slept through 'til 8pm, at which point I woke up, and immediately panicked again because I was still so exhaustion-addled that I thought my shift started at 8 when in fact it didn't start 'til 11.

So here I am, feeling greatly refreshed. I REGRET NOTHING! Wouldn't have missed Warhol for the world.

Anyone up for "I Am Legend" at 6:25pm, Southbank Cinema, tonight? (Friday night). If that session is too early for those of you working, please comment or text ASAP because there's also a 9pm one.

I love Chris Sanders' art so much. Curvy, sexy girls and cute animals, it's right up my alley.

His stuff is pretty much the only thing that gives me that good old "I want to DRAW!" gut reaction these days.

Fellow fans may be interested to know that he's now doing a webcomic which looks to be in the vein of 'Calvin & Hobbes': http://www.chrissandersart.com/www/blog/?cat=7
