Still alive

I'm still kicking guys, honest - Joe and I moved into [livejournal.com profile] guirlandes' place in Kenmore on the weekend and we're not going to have our internets connected (courtesy of Internode this time) for 6-8 weeks - does that seem like a really long time to anyone else, or is it standard? In the meantime we can piggyback on Rick's connection, but we'll be using that sparingly.

I have many a tale to tell, including the Dookie Incident, the Sleep Paralysis Event, my physical meltdown on Tuesday, new-cat interactions between Rick's Beckett and my Sawyer, Nami and Jangles, and of course much happy raving about the beauty of Kenmore, the trees, the rain, the birdies, the morning mist, etc etc etc. But all this needs to wait until I can get a little free 'me time' with an internet connection, and I'm not inclined to do this at work - not because they're draconian about such things, but because in two weeks time my three month probation is up and I hope to make as good impression as possible before I Ask For Stuff at my review.

All is well... better than well. Despite my tendancy to grind myself into exhaustion by insisting on unpacking even on my days off (big thanks to Joe for finally finding a way of reliably stopping me in my tracks - turns out Playstation games are the key, who knew? I feel bad for bagging games now), there's a great feeling of peace and comfort at the new place, something that was lacking from Day One at Bond Street, and bathed in all these positive vibes I can't help but be hopeful that this place is going to be very good for us.
